As the most heavy band in DevilDuck’s lineup, WISENT’s music could be described as Post-Hardcore. This seems to be a good fit for the Leipzig-based band - a German wall of sound meets an Irish vocalist spitting his emotions out to us. But not only does the genre feel new for DevilDuck, it’s also the first concept album released via the Hamburg label.
The band's mission is to captivate listeners through honesty and desperation. They use raw vocals, as well as melodic and heavy riffs. The vocals are pretty rough for Post-Hardcore and create an interesting contrast to the sometimes quite dreamy instrumentals. This sets the band apart from some of the more slick bands of the genre.”
